Margaret Craven

This is a short biography of the famous author of this and many other books Margaret Craven.


Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Ms. Craven grew up in St. Albans, West Virginia, where she was a member of the Hansford Street Evangelical United Brethren Church. She attended Saint Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, Huntington, West Virginia, where she received her RN.

Ms. Craven began her missionary service at Espanola Hospital in Espanola, New Mexico, where she worked for more than twenty years before going to Red Bird Medical Center in 1980, fulfilling a calling as a young girl, she says, to go to Red Bird to be a nurse.

She was commissioned as a home missionary in November, 1959 and has continued her ministry to people through all of her working years within the United States.

She holds membership in the Red Bird Missionary Conference, Jacks Creek UMC.
